Akil Kumar advanced into quarter finals with more punches





Today on 15 th August all indians got a good news from bejing olympics that indian boxer Akhil Kumar advanced to quarter finals of men's 54 kg category by defeating world champion sergey vodapoyanov of russia.
Akhil, a 27 year old boxer from Haryana rained blows on the world champion and had abated the margin to 7-8 by the end of the round.coach Gurbax Singh Sandhu is harbouring hopes of winning medals and is leaving no stone unturned to shape his wards to rise to the occasion on their big day.












Both the boxers were locked at 9-9, but at last judjes has signed to Akhil for landing more punches than sergey.This decision made the world champion depress and he broken down into tears.The Indian is now just a bout away from an Olympic medal.
